Customer Search and Filtering

As your customer database grows, quickly finding the right customer becomes essential. RefriTrak provides powerful search and filtering tools to help you locate customers efficiently.

Quick Search

Using the Search Bar

The search bar at the top of the Customers page searches across multiple fields:

Searchable Fields:

  • Customer name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

How to Search:

  1. Navigate to Customers
  2. Type in the search bar at the top
  3. Results update automatically as you type
  4. Click on a customer to view their details

Search Tips

Partial Matches Work:

  • Type "ABC" to find "ABC Grocery Store"
  • Type "smith" to find all customers with "Smith" in the name

Search by Contact Info:

  • Enter phone number: "555-1234"
  • Enter email: "john@" to find all johns

Search by Location:

  • Type a street name or city
  • Example: "Main St" finds customers with locations on Main Street

Customer List Views

Table View (Default)

The standard customer list shows:

  • Customer name
  • Contact
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • Location
  • Units
  • Customer Menu

Quick Actions from List

View Details: Click customer name to open detail page

Edit Customer: Click edit icon (pencil) to update information

Delete Customer: Deletes a customer

Common Questions

Q: Why doesn't my search find a customer I know exists?
A: Common reasons:

  • Misspelled name in search or database
  • Customer listed under different name variant
  • Searching for location address instead of customer name (try location search)

Q: Can I search by job or equipment information?
A: Not directly from the Customers page. Instead:

  • Go to Jobs page and search there
  • Go to Equipment/Units page to find by unit details
  • View customer from job/equipment detail page

Q: Can I search across multiple organizations?
A: No, customer searches are limited to the currently selected organization. Switch organizations using the organization switcher if you have access to multiple.
